The following terms/regulations are also applicable when registering a .fr domain:

The holder/registrant must be located in France (unless the requested domain is based on a trademark). The name and address of the listed registrant must match exactly what is listed as the organization for the corresponding SIREN/SIRET number.

If the domain is based on a trademark, the holder/registrant does not need to be located in France, but must have a registered trademark recognized in France. The listed name and address of the registrant must match exactly what is stated as the owner of the trademark. Upon review of the registration request, Tucows Service Bureau will email the reseller requesting the number of the registered trademark.

The administrative contact must always be located in France, regardless of whether the name is based on a trademark or not. A valid street address in France must be provided. The contact can be a separate third party, if necessary.
